It seems like these days I measure
everything…
How long? How much? How many? Time? Five years ago
my youngest daughter was diagnosed both with Type 1 diabetes and celiac
disease. Once upon a time I could swing through a drive-thru (not that we
did that too often…budget constraints), the kids could eat whatever they wanted
and if they finished it great if they didn’t…oh well. Those days are
gone.
Now we
measure…
Ounces, cups, milliliters, milligrams, millimoles, carbs, minutes, units,
glucose levels, and sanity! While all the measuring is challenging at
best, exhausting at worst, I have seen a change in our family…we are
increasingly more aware of what we eat and do, and our favourite things to
measure are our many blessings. I am so glad you have taken the time to
visit my blog.
I hope to be an encouragement to you…
That when you think you can’t measure another thing…you will grab your
measuring cups and cook with me. Or better yet, grab your ruler and get
scrappy! We can do this! We can do life no matter how hard.
We can balance everything. We can see the good in life. We can show
gratitude to others. We can be thankful for all that God has entrusted to
us, and in His image, Create!
Life has so much to offer!
Let's live life beyond the measure!
